Celebrate Easter with The District Church

Join us Sunday, April 20, 2025

Three Service Times:

7:30 am, 9 am, & 11 am

The District Church | Easter

At The District Church, we celebrate Easter as the day Jesus rose, bodily, from the grave after his death on the cross. He is the Lamb that was slain and rose again! (Exodus 12:1–14; John 1:29). He ascended to Heaven to be with his Father, God, our creator. On this day we praise Him for His sacrifice and for the life we gain through Him.

Join us on Easter Sunday and invite a friend or neighbor. No matter where you are on your faith journey, we invite you to learn with us, how to love, think and act like Jesus.

What to Expect

Our weekly services are casual, and last 80-90 minutes — come as you are. There’s no dress code. Just real people living for Jesus together.

Our services are held inside the Columbia Heights Educational Campus, a block from the Columbia Heights Metro station on the Green Line.

Parking

Limited free parking for Sunday is available in the underground garage beneath the school. The entrance is on Hiatt Place. There is additional paid parking at the DC USA parking garage. The Columbia Heights Metro station is 1 block away at the corners of 14th St and Irving St, and there are bike racks near the front entrance.

Kids and Youth

Kids ministry is available during the 9 am and 11 am services. Our greeters will gladly direct you to the correct location for your kids, according to their age and grade level. There is a nursing mom’s room located in the District Kids hallway.

There will be no District Youth gathering on Easter Sunday. Middle school and high school-age kids are encouraged to attend the service.

Accessibility

Entrance to CHEC is step-free, and all activities and facilities are on the first floor. There is an elevator to and from the parking garage, or entrance via one set of stairs (with handrails) leading up from the garage. The service is held in the auditorium, which has a downward slope but includes step-free/no-slope seating at the back.

Disposable earplugs can be found on the high-top table at the entrance to the auditorium.

For accessibility-related assistance, find someone with a ‘Hospitality’ badge or ask an individual at the high-top table by each entrance.

Spanish Interpretation

We offer Spanish interpretation of our in-person worship gatherings for any Spanish-speaking individuals attending our 9 am or 11 am gatherings. If you would like to use this service, when you arrive, enter the auditorium and go to the sound booth to receive a listening device.

Baptism

We will be hosting baptisms on Easter Sunday and we’re so excited to celebrate with those making a public profession of faith.

If you would like to be baptized or are interested in learning more about it sign up for the next Baptism Info Session.
