What You Can Expect
Deciding to receive counseling is an important decision. Once you’ve submitted an interest form, your information will be reviewed and one of our counselors will reach out to you to schedule a session.

As you and your counselor get to know one another in a conversational way, they will help you navigate your questions, understand your feelings, and speak to your holistic well-being.

Through your sessions, expect to be heard, receive compassion, and find support as you move forward in life.

I was really blown away session after session. I have a completely different perspective on anger. I now believe God wants my honesty, and I feel I can grow closer to Him through honesty now rather than “correcting” my emotions to feel in control. I value the lessons I learned in counseling, and I feel like I can be a healthier person because of it.

C.K.

With the power of God and consistent counseling, in 4 months we went from the brink of divorce, to genuine forgiveness, to healing, and have found the deepest love that we’ve felt for one another since we met.

J. C. & T. C.

I thought I had turned over all the stones, but even 6 months in, we continue to have breakthrough sessions that draw me closer to God and allow me to have more peace, ease, and security. I’m learning certain triggers, and I am also recovering quickly from setbacks. I can’t speak any higher of this process and highly recommend the incredible counseling team at The District Church.

J.D.

My life has forever changed – not because of anything magical or groundbreaking, but because my counselor patiently and faithfully helped me to find Jesus in my struggles and dig a little deeper each week. Now I have reliable and biblical tools for my daily walk and work-life, which is more than I could have asked for. This team is gifted, and every moment has been 100% worth it.

Parental Loss Support Group

The Parental Loss Support Group is for folks who have lost a parent at early age and want to explore their grief and its impact on their emotional, physical, spiritual, and relational well-being. Losing a parent as a young adult can feel incredibly isolating, as this loss often comes later in life for most. Together, through sharing, listening, and embracing grief in community, we seek to grow closer to Jesus through our grief, not in spite of it. We invite you to join us—we would love to walk with you, carrying the burdens of grief together as a community in Christ Jesus, Immanuel, God with us.

The group meets virtually for 10 consecutive Tuesdays each semester from 6:30 pm – 8 pm, with some in-person relational gatherings. The new semester begins on March 3rd, 2026
