What You Can Expect
Deciding to receive counseling is an important decision. Once you’ve submitted an interest form, your information will be reviewed and one of our counselors will reach out to you to schedule a session.

As you and your counselor get to know one another in a conversational way, they will help you navigate your questions, understand your feelings, and speak to your holistic well-being.

Through your sessions, expect to be heard, receive compassion, and find support as you move forward in life.

Support Groups at The District Church

No matter what you’ve been through or what choices you’ve made in life, there is a place for you to find support and growth at The District Church.

Through our support groups, you’ll find a welcoming community committed to serving one another and seeing each other grow in health, healing and faith.

Men’s Support Group

This anonymous group is for men who feel they can’t control their sexual behavior – whether in relationships with others or on their own in pornography and masturbation – and desire to heal from it. We strive to develop a safe space to share our struggles honestly and break out of isolation in courage. Using a Christ-centered approach in recovery and other conventional wisdom such as 12-step recovery, we gather weekly to confess, encourage, and grow together to become more like Christ, pursuing wholeness in our relationship with God and others. Come. Join us in this journey towards recovery and healing.

Young Adult Parental Loss Support Group
This peer support group is for those in their 20s and 30s who have lost parents and want to dig into their grief experience and its impact on their life, including the emotional, physical, spiritual, and relational dimensions of grief. Being a young adult and having already experienced death/loss can be extremely lonely, as typically parental loss comes later in life. Through sharing, listening, and embracing grief in community and growing in our relationship with Jesus through our grief, we can find healing.

Meeting time:
Biweekly, first and third Mondays from 7:30-8:45pm
Virtual, with in-person fellowship every few months
